Happy New Year!

A spectacular view of the Smokies from a side road near the farm

With Christmas in the rear view mirror and a whole new year before us, we cannot help but feel the undercurrent of excitement as we pray for whatever lies ahead. This will be our fifth year in Greeneville, second year opening the farm for “Pick-Your-Own” berries, and our first year offering an event before the season officially begins.

You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.
— C.S. Lewis

As we considered what events to offer and what we could do differently than during previous years, we were reminded of the need for something during the dark, winter months, where no holidays illuminate the bleak landscape, and new growth is still months away from the bushes in the fields. The thought occurred to us, “Why don’t we hold a class for those who would like to learn about sourdough??”.

Throughout this past year we have received countless questions about how we began our sourdough journey, what methods we adhere to most, which recipes are our favorites, and how to troubleshoot when errors present themselves. Instead of simply writing an article with the answers to these questions, we decided to open our Loft to a small group in a cozy setting so we can get to know our community, and to serve them by teaching this valuable method for baking bread with wild yeast.

Along with this event, Lord-willing we hope to offer several more to serve our local community and invite them to experiences that bring health and joy throughout the year. The Sourdough 101 Class date and time is set, but the remaining events are subject to change based on weather, potential attendance, etc.

We welcome you to review what we’ve tentatively planned for 2026 by looking through the below offerings, and should you have any questions or ideas, feel free to let us know by submitting feedback via our contact form by clicking here!
